HISA 639 The Early Development of the Anglo-American Common Law (3)
Prof. Bonfield. A survey of the English legal system from the Anglo-Saxon period through the Age of Blackstone. Among the topics considered are the growth and development of such institutions as the central courts, the itinerant justices, the justices of the peace, and the jury. Attention also is given to the substantive development of civil and criminal law and the process of legal change in England. Same as HISE 639, 1LAW 588.
