HISL 380 Colloquium: Caribbean Revolutions (3)

Staff. Weekly readings and discussions of popular revolutions in the Caribbean region. Some attention is paid to the revolutionary tradition in Middle America before concentrating on the 20th-century revolutions there. In a search for common factors, attention is devoted not only to countries where significant revolutions have occurred already, such as Guatemala, Cuba, and Nicaragua, but also to others where revolutionary potential exists.
