SPAN 427 Iberoamerican Dialectology (3)
Prof. Howard, Prof. Zapata. Prerequisites: SPAN 404 and 405. Survey of the varieties of Spanish spoken in Spain, Latin America, and the United States. We will look at variation in pronunciation and grammatical usage, such as the tu/usted/vos, as well as variation by age, gender, and social class.
