CENG 445 Applied Biochemistry (3) Lecture 3.

Prerequisite: CHEM 241/243. Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry and chemical processes involved with the molecules that are utilized by living organisms. An in-depth coverage of carbon- and nitrogen-containing molecules will be included for molecules such as proteins and DNA and certain cofactors. Enzyme kinetics and catalysis will also be covered, as well as metabolic pathways and the associated bioenergetics thereof.
