182 PeopleSoft I: Fundamentals of ERP/HRIS (3)

Prerequisites: 110 and UINS 220, or equivalent experience. This course provides an understanding of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) paradigm for corporate computing systems. The role of vendor packages such as PeopleSoft will be explained in order to understand this new paradigm. Selected PeopleSoft components will be introduced as will an explanation of PeopleSoft's system architecture. The ERP application development methodology will be introduced and followed for the creation and modification of simple PeopleSoft application components. The course's computing lab experiences will include actual component creation and modification, closely following the ERP and PeopleSoft's application development methodology.
