342 Object-Oriented Analysis and Logical Design (3)
Prerequisite: 295. This progressive track course requirement begins the development of a large object-oriented application. Students begin a series of two-semester progressive assignments by analyzing an organizational problem, then model and present those needs and a solution using UML diagrams and methods. Key design decisions are made regarding use of inheritance vs. composition, interfaces, thread, and notification mechanisms. A user interface design completes the course.
