231 Fundamentals of Web Programming (3)

Prerequisite: UWEB 229 or IWEB 227 or equivalent experience. This course is designed for students who are interested in website development but who have little or no programming experience. The student will be introduced to components of web automation including software development methodology, web scripting languages, and web programming terminology. The student will learn the basic principles of programming with an emphasis on the effective use of control structures. This will allow the student to transform selected programs into a working software application. The course will use JavaScript an PHP - both at an introductory level - to introduce the student to client and sever side script development.
