Tulane University 2006-2007 Catalog
Course:
STRE 411 Strategic Decision Making
Prerequisite: STRE 301
This course investigates the processes by which organizations make decisions affecting major resource allocations; it also examines how those decisions should be made. To develop an understanding of decision makers and decision-making environments where strategic issues are involved, and to gain experience in strategic decision making, students will analyze what went right or wrong in the decisions of others. The course is intended to train students to influence strategic decision processes and predict the outcomes of these processes. Behavioral decision theory, classical decision theory, and game theory are some of the foundations for the course.
