HSAD304 Accreditation of Health Care Agencies - 3 CR
This course examines the multiple accreditation and credentialing options available to health care agencies, how the process has changed over time, and how participation impacts health care. Discussions include what the original intent for various accreditations and credentials were and whether that purpose has changed over time. Topics for discussion include an overview of requirements for JACHO, NCQA, physician credentialing, and accreditation of continuing requirements for health care professions. Note: A grade of C or better is required to pass this course successfully.
