MCMG312 Case Management Insurance/Utilization Review - 3 CR
This course provides an overview of the various insurances that affect case management. The appeals process will be reviewed. The focus will be on the process of performing a utilization review, which will study the necessity and appropriateness for admission and length of stay, as well as the discharge planning that begins on admission and requires the assessment of the patients' need for treatment after hospitalization. Note: A grade of C or better is required to pass this course successfully. Prerequisite(s): MCMG300 and MATH320
