NURS143C Nursing of Adults Clinical I - 4 CR

This course focuses on acute nursing care of adult clients with common, less complex medical or surgical health needs. The student will use the nursing process and critical-thinking skills to develop a holistic plan of care to a diverse population with various medical or surgical abnormalities in a structured setting. Note: NURS143 requires three hours of lecture per week. NURS143C requires 180 hours of clinical for the semester. A grade of C or better is required to pass this course successfully. *Component Co-requisites: NURS143 and NURS143C. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Practical Nursing Program, NURS101/101L/101C, and NURS135
