NURS243C Nursing of Adults Clinical II - 5 CR
This course focuses on nursing care of adult clients with multiple complex medical or surgical health needs. The student will utilize the nursing process and critical thinking skills to provide care in structured health care settings and outpatient facilities. Emphasis will be placed on the teaching-learning process to promote and maintain a state of wellness and also end-of-life care for patient and family. Current ethical and legal implications for the nursing profession in the 21st century will be identified. Note: NURS243 requires four hours of lecture per week. NURS243C requires 225 hours of clinical for the semester. Students going to the next course in the sequence require a C or better to pass this course successfully. *Component Co-requisites: NURS243 and NURS243C. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Associate Degree Nursing program, BIOL211, and BIOL211L
