ARST 227 Intermediate Painting (3)
Prof. Chism, Prof. Harris. Prerequisite: ARST 125. This course focuses on the formal and expressive qualities of both nature-based and pure abstraction. Abstraction is investigated through historic and contemporary ideologies, technical issues and the use of non-traditional materials. Systematic exploration of a variety of approaches will serve as a structure for development of the student's own goals and sensibility.
