CLAS 329 Gnosticism and Early Egyptian Christianity (3)

Prof. Williams. This course traces the history and development of Gnosticism in its pre-Christian forms in Egypt and in Jewish wisdom traditions to its Valentinian Christian manifestations. The largest "heretical" movement in early Christianity was the greatest challenge the early church experienced.
