LATN 408 Literature of the Neronian Age (3)

Prof. Frazel, Prof. Kehoe. This course examines the reign of the emperor Nero through readings in the literature of that period. Particular focus will be placed upon the changing status of the emperor, the role of the emperor as patron of the arts, and the development of intellectual and political resistance to Nero and the principate. Same as LATN 608.
