Prof. Spitzack. An examination of the relationship between communication as the production and consumption of cultural meaning, and the body as both the agent and the product of communication. Emphasis is given to the analysis of 20th-century practices, images, and institutions which illustrate and inform prevailing cultural representations of the body.
