EBIO 452 Ecological Physiology (3)

Prof. Irschick. An introduction to the physiological adaptations of plant and animals via study of the interactions between organisms and their environment. The course will focus on animals, but will include examples of plants. An explicitly evolutionary and quantitative perspective will be used. The primary purpose is to provide a general introduction to the field of physiological ecology, including and overview of the field, with an emphasis on recent studies and new techniques in the field. A historical view of the origins of physiological ecology will also be covered.
